The Board of Doom was an old Anime Night convention, whereby progress through a series’ run would be tracked. I was never much of an Anime Night stalwart myself, but I liked the concept. A virtualized answer to a TNTVC Board of Doom is certainly more convenient than buying another whiteboard and mounting it over the television.
Just so you know, in these charts we use “series” to denote the entire run of a show, and “season” in the American sense even if we’re talking about a non-American show. (The British usually use the word “series” to describe what Americans would call a “season”. Even if you’re an American fan it’s generally considered bad form to refer to, say, the third season of the new Doctor Who; even the American DVDs refer to it as “series three”. This may become important someday.)
Anyway, here’s where we stand with what we’re currently watching:
| Series | Most Recent Episode |
Viewed | Episodes Remaining |
|||
| Doctor Who | 4.07 | May 19 | 6 (season) | |||
| jPod | 1.10 | Apr 22 | 3 (series) | |||
| ReGenesis | 3.06 | May 19 | 8 (season) | |||
| Total Recall 2070 | 1.07 | May 19 | 16 (series) | |||
| UFO | 1.15* | May 19 | 11 (series) | |||
| Young Dracula | 2.02 | May 19 | 11 (series) | |||
* As with many ITC shows of this era, there seems to be no definitive account of what order the episodes are meant to be viewed in (The Prisoner has retroactively turned this into an asset, actually). For the most part, we’re following the production order. See the Wikipedia article on UFO for more detail.
Ongoing series we’re caught up with:
| Series | Most Recent Season |
Finished | ||
| The Sarah Jane Adventures | 1 | Nov 20 | ||
| Torchwood | 2 | May 12 | ||
